OUR STORY
The Jason Beaird Memorial Foundation (JBMF) was founded by friends and family of Jason to keep the spirit of Jason alive after his death in 2013.
Our first Shamrocks & Shenanigans event was in March 2014 and JBMF was formally incorporated in the state of Florida in 2015.
In 2016, JBMF became a tax exempt, approved 501(c)(3) organization and is registered in the state of Florida. All contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.
ABOUT JASON
Jason Beaird was diagnosed at age 37 with multiple myeloma (MM), which is a cancer of the blood plasma cells and is quite uncommon in young persons. Jason passed away in March 2013 at the age of 42. He was a man of many attributes: hard worker, passionate athlete and caring husband and father.
He lived life to the fullest - competing in Ironman triathlons, playing college baseball, living abroad, coaching Little League baseball, and raising money for charities - most of which he continued to do even after he was diagnosed with MM.
He never let MM be an excuse to NOT live life to the fullest!
OUR MISSION
"To celebrate the life and legacy
of Jason Beaird through meaningful giving.”
We’re a small non-profit; that’s why we’ve chosen to partner with established charities to help strengthen their presence in the Central Florida community.
Additionally, our scholarship program, youth sports and collegiate athletic sponsorships are projects which reflect Jason’s passions.
